Hilton has plans to do some expanding in the U.K. They hope to make the area the second biggest region after the U.S. Within the next two years they intend to open at least 30 new hotels in the U.K. alone.
In 2016 they only opened six hotels in the U.K., so it’s a significant jump that will expand the brand by 25 percent.
The new hotels being built will mostly be Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands. They will be located in London, York, and Leeds.
Simon Vincent, the president of Hilton’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa division spoke out about the growth.
“I think there will definitely be growth but certain segments will perform less strongly than others. But on average I think we will see positive growth year on year.”
