The Arctic and Antarctica are already some of the most popular places for cruise ships to visit, and now there will be a new way to explore the area. Lindblad and Norwegian shipbuilder Ulstein will be building a new vessel that is specifically designed for travel in the area.
The vessel will be specifically designed so that it will cut down on its environmental impact, which is a big concern everywhere but particularly in that region. It will also be safer and feel more stable for passengers even in rough sea weather.
There will also be other enjoyable aspects on the ship, such as the fact that 75 percent of the rooms will have balconies. There will be a variety of outdoor “observation wings” as well as outdoor decks where people can safely take in their surroundings.
Twelve of the 69 cabins and suites will be marketing towards people who are traveling alone. The ship is expected to debut for use in the year 2020.
