According to a survey done by the hostel booking site Hostelworld, 80 percent of employers say that traveling makes someone more employable.
Of people who had traveled, 62% felt that those experiences helped them figure out what they wanted to do with their lives and 61% felt that the travel time looked good on their resumes.
The people who don’t take the time to travel generally just don’t feel like they can afford it. As many as 50 percent of the people stated money as a reason for not taking more trips. Luckily travel does not have to be as expensive as you’d think that it does.
Budget airlines like Allegiant and Spirit offer some pretty amazing deals, but comporable airlines can be found in any country in the world. Pair that with a hostel stay and a trip can suddenly seem pretty reasonable.
