Coming this fall a program called FlyFit will open at the London Heathrow Airport and become the “world’s first wellness and fitness studio behind airport security.”
The program will offer yoga, strength, and cardio classes. Some of them will be led by instructors in real time, while others will be offered on demand. FlyFit hopes to expand to airports all over the world and “redefine the way the way travelers move throughout the world.”
They certainly aren’t alone when it comes to bringing fitness and wellness options to the land of airports. Minute Suites offers places to nap while waiting for flights, while Be Relax offers services that last from ten minutes on up. Those services might include getting a foot massage, a facial, or even getting a hair styling treatment.
The airport trends certainly seem to be going in the direction of wellness and relaxation.
