Some of the Florida Keys are back open for business following hurricane Irma. Key West and Key Largo were both less affected by the hurricane than other keys in the area, and both of them are now open to visitors once again.
But that doesn’t mean that everything is functioning as normal. Florida’s Monroe County Emergency Management agency is still suggesting that people avoid swimming in the water at public beaches due to the current state of the water quality.
People are also asked to be careful when they are driving due to debris that might be on the roads. The cleanup crews are active in the region but they have not yet had the chance to get around to everything.
