The first ever official Airbnb-branded apartment complex will be opening south of Orlando in Kissimmee, Florida. The 324-unit apartment complex will be called “Niido Powered by Airbnb.” Residents will sign a lease, and then unlike most other apartment complexes, will then be allowed to rent out their units for up to 180 nights throughout the year.
The new complex will be a part of Airbnb‘s partnership with Miami’s Newgard Development Group. The idea is to make the rental process easier for both sides of the equation. This particular location was chosen for its proximity to Disney World.
Jaja Jackson, the director of global multifamily housing partnerships released a statement about the idea.
“This partnership shows how landlords, developers, and Airbnb can work together to create value for everyone and better serve tenants. The team at Newgard is leading the way and we’re thrilled to work with them. Together, we’re making it easier for more hosts to share their space, and giving guests access to more affordable options when they travel.”
