The most expensive restaurant in the world is currently Sublimotion, which offers the “world’s first gastronomic show” at the Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza.
The dinner costs 1,500 euros per person, and serves 12 people at a time. The meal is served over a three hour period and includes 20 different food tastings which make use of futuristic food techniques like liquid nitrogen.
The meal is served in a room that has a projection across all the walls which changes throughout the meal, alongside a table that changes as well. Each course brings a different theme into the room, which includes a Tuscan farm, under the sea, and a carnival.
The whole dining show requires the work of designers, architects, screenwriters, engineers, illusionists, and choreographers. Chef Paco Roncero is double Michelin starred.
