An emotional support dog bit a passenger that was that was flying on Delta Airlines on Saturday. The flight was getting ready to take off from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the biting took place. The bite was bad enough that the passenger had to be removed from the flight to get treated.
Witnesses said that man’s face was quite bloodied after the bite. The dog was apparently a Labrador of some sort and quite large, around 50 pounds. It was sitting on the lap of its owner in the middle seat when it attacked the man that was seated by the window.
Delta released a statement about the incident.
“Prior to pushback of flight 1430, ATL-SAN, a passenger sustained a bite from another passenger’s emotional support dog. The customer who was bitten was removed from the flight to receive medical attention. Local law enforcement cleared the dog, and the dog and its owner were re-accommodated on a later flight; the dog will fly in a kennel.”
