Elon Musk has shared photos of the tunnel that he is intending to build in L.A. and in the process get rid of the city’s traffic. He explained that the tunnel is 500 feet long and by next will extend from LAX to the 405 if all goes as planned.

The 405 freeway has some pretty intense traffic in Los Angeles, but if cars could travel in the tunnel instead it could change everything. The tunnel would take cars underground in elevators and then send them through the tunnel on “skates” that could travel up to 150 MPH.
Elon Musk’s company also has plans for hyperloop transport that could make travel move up to 600 MPH. One of the hyperloop plans is to create a direct and expedient route between New York City and Washington, D.C.
