The Dutch king Willem-Alexander just revealed that he’s been secretly moonlighting as a pilot for the past 21 years. The king has been working as a co-pilot on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines making 70 flights each month.
He has explained that doing so is a relaxing hobby for him, and that no one has ever suspected a thing.
“The advantage is that I can always say I am speaking on behalf of the captain and crew to welcome them on board, so I don’t have to say my name. But then, most people don’t listen anyway.”
