Disneyland’s California Adventure will soon be shutting down its Tower of Terror ride to make room for a new Guardians of the Galaxy experience. Fans of the ride can still enjoy it until its closing day on January 2.
The Tower of Terror drop ride has been open since 1994, but the Guardians of the Galaxy ride shouldn’t be too far behind despite being a different theme. The incoming ride has been described as having a “free-fall sensation with all-new audio and visual effects.”
The shell of the Tower of Terror will now be referred to as The Collector’s Fortress, which is supposed to be a giant power plant. The ride will open next summer.
However, mega fans of the Tower of Terror will still be able to catch the ride elsewhere. The other versions of it will remain open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, and Tokyo DisneySea.
