Disneyland has long offered a free fast pass option for rides, and now they are introducing a new MaxPass option that will cost $10 a day per person.
The MaxPass option will give guests the opportunity to reserve their fast passes on the park’s app as opposed to having to walk to each ride in person to pick up the paper versions of the fast pass.
The park also announced that they will be adding a fast pass option to two more rides: the Toy Story Mania ride at Disney California Adventure and the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland. Overall there are 16 rides where the fast pass can be utilized.
The MaxPass also comes with the bonus of getting unlimited downloads of the photos that are taken on the rides, as opposed to having to buy those separately as much more expensive packages.
While convenient, the fast pass service is charging for something that is otherwise free so it won’t be a top choice for everyone. It is unknown if one person can reserve multiple fast passes from a single $10 fee.
