Some of the Disney resorts are now becoming pet-friendly for the first time ever. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney Port Orleans Resort — Riverside, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort cabins all started welcoming dogs on October 15.
This is currently a test program, and should it go well they might consider rolling it out to some of their other resorts as well. Upon check-in, guests with dogs will be given a door tag to show that a pet is inside the room.
The hotels will also offer a kit for dog owners that contains disposable bags, puppy pads, and mats for food bowls.
The fees for having a dog (or two) along in the resorts will cost $50-75. Disney also requires that the dogs are “well behaved, leashed in resort public areas and properly vaccinated.”
