Costa Rica has a craft brew scene that has just been growing rapidly. More than 40 craft brewers have opened within recent years in the capital San Jose City.
Companies like Urban Adventures offer tours in the area such as the “The Art of Craft Beer in San Jose.” In addition to exploring the craft brew scene, there are other alcohol related activities as well.
There is an artisanal ice cream stand in Barrio Escalante called Galway where they infuse their ice cream with alcohol such as vodka, tequila, Jack Daniel’s, Malibu rum, and Jagermeister.
Popular Costa Rican breweries in the area include Treintaycinco, Perro Vida, Lake Arenal Brewing, Adama Brewing, and the Costa Rica Craft Brewing Co.
