A new study is saying that doing yoga and meditating can actually change your genes for the better, which will probably make you want to book a retreat right away. The study was published in Frontiers in Immunology and looked at meditation, yoga, breathing exercises, Qigong, and Tai Chi.
They found that these habits increased “the reversal of the molecular signature of the effects of chronic stress.” That can lead to a reduction of inflammation overall, which can then cut down on the likelihood of getting sick or dealing with any type of physical issues.
