The Carnival Cruise Line is introducing a wearable technology that will change the customer experience completely. The concept is being discussed at the Consumer Electronics Show. The Carnival Corporation CEO Arnold Donald spoke out about the project ahead of his keynote talk.
“With this interactive technology platform, we are poised to have our global cruise line brands at the vanguard of forever changing the guest experience paradigm – not just in the cruise industry but in the larger vacation market and potentially other industries.”
The medallion can be worn and will basically be a GPS, Apple Pay, and a digital concierge all in one, reducing the need to carry anything else around but still have every option at the guest’s fingertips.

Now we are in prime position to take the guest experience to a level never before considered possible and build on cruising’s popularity and value as the fastest growing segment of the vacation sector.”
