The Mains Farm, Thornhill, Stirling, in Scotland offers glamping inside of a converted helicopter. The decommissioned Royal Navy ZA127 Sea King helicopter now offers luxury accommodations.
Inside the helicopter, there is room for a family of five to sleep. It includes a stainless steel kitchenette, a lounge in the cockpit, a shower room, and nice sleeping areas.
The outside of the helicopter has mostly been unchanged and it’s angled so that guests have panoramic views over the Carse of Stirling from the cockpit window.
Glamping has been increasing in popularity thanks to the fact that it offers a unique place to stay that’s somewhere between camping and staying in a hotel. You certainly can’t beat the uniqueness and photo opportunities that come from staying in a helicopter that’s been turned into comfortable accommodations.
