Jet lag is an odd phenomenon and it’s something that we do to our ourselves so we can’t be too mad at it. Then again, it’s pretty annoying. You might not be able to avoid your jet lag completely, but you can do a lot to make sure that it’s as minimal as possible.
One thing that you should do before you leave it to start adjusting your sleep schedule accordingly. The more that you can do to get closer to the schedule that you’ll be on when you arrive at your destination, the less intense the shock will be.
When you arrive at your destination try to spend as much time outside in the daylight as possible, and then go to sleep at the normal bedtime for the region. If you can get in a workout at your hotel that will both help to give you the energy to get through the day as well as help induce sleep later on when you’re trying to get to sleep.
