Hitting the beach should be relaxing, but with all the sand and moving parts it can actually involve quite a bit of cleanup. Here are some hacks to make sure the experience goes as smoothly as possible.
Cleanup With Baby Powder
Some simple baby powder is all you need to get the sand off your body without having to rinse it. (And risk collecting more right back on.)Just rub it on your body and the sand will slip away.
Stick With Mesh Bags
Sand is likely to get inside any bag that you bring to the beach, unless that bag is mesh. Mesh bags are also breathable to avoid any funky scents from wet beach clothes that you might have to lug home.
Distract Young Kids With a Kiddie Pool
It can be tough to keep young kids away from the ocean when they need constant supervision. Keep them busy by your side by putting some water and sand into a blow-up kiddie pool instead.
