There is a restaurant in Arizona that is in a cave 210 underneath the ground. Getting to the Cavern Grotto requires going 21 stories down inside the Grand Canyon Caverns, which are located in Peach Springs, Arizona.
The restaurant opened on August 15 and are located inside of a cavern network that are 345 million years old. The restaurant is located in a chamber that is on a raised platform to give views all the way around the room.
The food offered in Cavern Grotto is American comfort food. They offer all you can eat lunch and dinner options that include an entree, side, dessert, and two glasses of wine or beer.
The price of the meal also gets a tour through the caverns. One of the cavern’s managing partners John McEnulty spoke about the opportunity.
“During our tours, there’s not much time to linger in just one spot, since there’s so much to see. With Cavern Grotto, people will be able to soak up the cavern and feel like they’re a part of it.”
