AmEx Platinum Card holders are now being offered access to Escape airport lounges. Currently, the Escape lounges are located at the airports in Hartford, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Oakland.
Most hotel lounges are tied to the airlines, but Escape differs in that in that it can be accessed by anyone who’s willing to pay the price. The current rates to enter the lounges are $40 if booked in advance or $45 at the door.
Joshua McKay, the VP of Global Benefits & Services at American Express released a statement about the news.
βAt American Express, we know our Platinum Card Members are passionate about travel, and we are focused on providing them with value, service and access for every step of the journey β from booking to boarding and beyond. With the addition of access to U.S. Escape Lounges, we are continuing to expand the access we provide our Card Members through our Global Lounge Collection and further enhance the value of the Platinum Card as a passport to a premium travel experience.β
