According to the Allianz Global Assistance’s Top 10 Holiday Destinations Report, it seems as though American travelers prefer New York City and London for their holidays.
The report looked into over one million travel plans that have been scheduled around the Christmas holiday from December 20 to 28. They found that the top U.S. travel destination within the country is New York City, followed by Los Angeles, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, San Francisco, Honolulu, Boston, Denver, Miami, and Newark.
New York is a popular destination since it not only snows and looks Christmasy, but there all kinds of unique city things to do like ice skate at Bryant Park, see seasonal shows on stage, and check out one of a kind Christmas window displays.
Internationally the top travel spot for Americans is London, followed by San Juan, Cancun, Tokyo, Paris, Santiago, Puerto Vallarta, Manila, Santo Domingo, and Bangkok.
