AAA has announced that they added six hotels and one restaurant to their Five Diamond list, which is a prestigious distinction given to only 0.3 percent of the 59,000 listings that they approve.
The company gave the honor to Hawaii’s Four Seasons Resort Lana’i, the St. Regis New York, Grenada’s Spice Island Beach Resort, Mexico City’s Four Seasons Hotel Mexico D.F., Puerto Rico’s Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve and Richmond, and Virginia’s Jefferson Hotel.
Half of those hotels have recently completed huge renovations that took their luxury to the next level, one of which was The Jefferson. Martha Mitchell Meade, the manager of public and government affairs for AAA Martha Mitchell Meade released a statement about that spot in particular.
“It is hard to imagine taking The Jefferson to the next level but that is exactly what has happened with more spacious and impressive guest rooms that will further enhance the guest experience and public areas that will continue to impress even the most distinguished visitor.”
