2. Climb Capitoline Hill and Gaze Over the Forum
Rome is built on seven fabled hills, one if its most central and significant being Capitoline Hill. Traces of several important temples can be found there, including ones dedicated to Juno Moneta, Virtus and Jupiter. At the top, you’ll find the Michelangelo designed Piazza del Campidoglio and the various Capitoline Museums. This hill offers some of the best views over the ancient Forum, once the heart of the Roman Empire. If you can make it here for the lemon light of dawn or dusk, all the better.
