A man has been arrested for allegedly starting two fires in the Las Vegas Trump hotel on Wednesday night. The fires were intentionally started using toasters, towels, and other flammable objects.
One of the fires was set in the hallway of the 17th floor, while another was set by the pool area. The fires caused the smoke alarms to go off but were not big enough to set off the sprinkler system. One security guard was injured in the incident but no hotel guests were harmed.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Steve Summers is considering whether or not eh fires had a political motive but says that it does not seem to be the case “on the surface.”
