A Scottish beer company called BrewDog is opening a beer hotel in Columbus Ohio, which they are calling the “world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel.” They’re also opening a brewery in the town and the two will be built right next to each other.
The hotel is being called The DogHouse and will feature 50 rooms with plenty of beer themes going on. Each room will have their most popular beer on tap, as well as a beer mini bar in each shower. All of the meals will have food and beer pairing options, and their spa services all use hops and have other beer related nods.
They even have a hot tub filled with beer in the luxury suite.
James Watt, the co-founder, and CEO of BrewDog said that:
“The original IPAs were brewed with hops to preserve the drink as it traveled, so it’s pretty safe to assume the same preservative qualities would apply to the skin. Malt and hops also smell awesome, so why wouldn’t you want to douse yourself in them?”
The hotel is being crowdfunded which means that donating $150 to the project will get you a room stay.
