A man has been taken into custody after departing from a Medeterrean cruise ship after his wife was reported missing from the ship. He was arrested in Italy for “suspect behavior.”
Daniel Belling was with his wife Li Yinglei and their two children on the cruise, but returned to Italy without her and had never reported her missing during the 11-day trip. He claims that she packed up her bags and departed the ship while it was docked in Greece, and that she had done something similar before.
“His behavior after disembarking was not that of a person who was trying to flee. He simply headed to Ciampino airport with his children to catch the flight that he had booked when he first organized the cruise.”
A witness last reported them together in Italy when Daniel was yelling at his wife. His children have been placed in a state home where they will remain until the case is sorted out.
