When it comes to hikes in Australia there is one mountain that literally rises above the rest. Mount Kosciuszko is 2,228 meters high and is a popular hiking spot since the trails are not too steep for the average hiker to handle.
There is a package being offered by the ski resort Thredbo called Conquer Kozzie, which makes the trip to the mountain an affordable one for many people. The package offers accommodation, breakfast, and a national park pass, making getting to the top of the mountain a part of a packaged deal.
There are a variety of different places to stay in the area, including apartment, lodges, and high-end hotels. From the town guests can access the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift, which will take them directly to the Mount Kosciuszko trail.
From there the hike begins, passing through Merritt’s Creek, then heading onto Rams Head range where some of the best photo opportunities of the mountain range will be.
