Delta customers who are enrolled in the SkyMiles program can now start collecting points on their AirBnb bookings as well. For every one dollar the SkyMiles members spend on AirBnb stays, they will earn one mile back.
The only catch to make this possible is that customers have to book the AirBnb reservation through the website deltaairbnb.com.
SkyMiles members will also be able to save $25 their first time booking with AirBnb, as well as 1,000 miles, if they book an AirBnb stay within 60 days.
Sandeep Dube, Delta’s VP of Customer Engagement & Loyalty released a statement about the move.
“This industry leading partnership enables us to provide a unique benefit to our SkyMiles members, enabling us to reward them for their lifestyle choices through the SkyMiles loyalty program. This partnership brings together two innovative brands focused on delivering superior travel experiences across the globe to customers.”
AirBnb recently announced another similar working relationship, with the Australian based Qantas Air. In October, Qantas gave its frequent fliers the opportunity to earn one mile for every dollar that they spend on AirBnb stays as well. Similarly the bookings have to be made through a specific website.
Last year AirBnb also announced a partnership with Virgin America.
