Fans of Spongebob Squarepants will be happy to know that they can now stay in their own pineapple villa, although it is just located by the sea not authentically under the sea.
The villa is located in the Dominican Republic at the Nickelodeon Hotel and Resort in Punta Cana. At 1,500 square feet, the villa has two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an authentic Spongebob vibe.
In exchange for not being under the sea like the original, it does have an infinity pool to enjoy. There’s a loft style living room, a shell phone, and even a Gary the snail replica. But despite having authentic elements from the cartoon it got its inspiration, the villa is actually quite nice and gorgeously decorated inside. Essentially, the kids might find it entertaining but it looks like an adult’s dream vacation home.
According the resort’s website there are private butlers on hand who can set stuff up like “tailor-made private activities such as a moonlight beach dinner prepared by a world-class chef.”
This might be a Nickelodeon resort but don’t let that fool you, the pineapple villa is not going to run cheap. It starts at $3,800 each night with a three night minimum.
